Russian attacks on the night of Sunday, October 12, caused damage to electricity and gas infrastructure in the Ukrainian regions of Donetsk, Odessa and Chernihiv, the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy reported.

For the third day in a row, targeted attacks took place against electricity and gas transport networks, and currently emergency services are working to stabilize power supplies where it was affected.

In Odessa, a gas installation and an outbuilding were damaged and fires broke out, which were quickly extinguished by rescuers, said the head of the regional administration, Oleh Kipper. One person was injured.

There were also impacts on an energy infrastructure installation and the district’s state administration building, without any casualties.

The Donetsk region is without electricity due to the enemy’s morning shelling of energy infrastructure, the head of the regional military administration, Vadim Filashkin, reported on Telegram.

“In the morning, the Russians attacked our energy infrastructure again. Experts have already started repairs and are doing everything possible to restore power. However, the magnitude of the damage and the timing of restoration have not yet been determined”disse Filashkin.

Russian troops attacked settlements in the Chernihiv region 59 times in 24 hours, said the head of the Chernihiv regional military administration, Viacheslav Chaus.

In Nizhyn district, an enemy drone also attacked an energy facility, and in Horodnia community, a drone attacked a special vehicle.

In Semenivka, an FPV drone attack caused a fire in a two-apartment residential building. The explosion damaged the roof, a car and the windows of a neighboring building. The fire was extinguished by the State Emergency Service.

Nonetheless, Russian air defenses neutralized 32 Ukrainian drones in the regions of Belgorod, Briansk and Smolensk, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported today.

Over the course of last night, air defenses destroyed 32 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones, the Russian military command reported on Telegram.
