How we got here
What started as a national Premium Beef brand in the year 2000 soon expanded to include Premium pork. Prime Pork was then unveiled, offering higher-tier products to customers. In 2021, the brand transitioned its beef to exclusively Angus, which elevated the line even further. Now, the addition of Chairman’s Reserve Platinum Angus Beef rounds it out, creating a full selection of dual tiers and dual proteins.
“With the introduction of Chairman’s Reserve Platinum Angus, Chairman’s Reserve Meats is one of the first national brands to offer a USDA upper 1/3 Choice program. Chairman’s Reserve Platinum Angus delivers a product with stricter standards and higher quality than commoditized upper 2/3 Choice Angus programs,” says Ozlem Worpel, director of Fresh Meats Marketing.
